Summer Reading Challenge
Summer is a time to slow down and get away from our usual routine. We like to take a vacation for a change of scenery. Maybe even a trip to the beach. Summer is also a time when we make more time for reading. Reading is a great way to explore new ideas and experience other people’s lives.
It’s also a time to come together as a community to participate in the Our Community Reads and Learns Summer Reading Challenge! This year the challenge runs from May 16 – to August 20. Our goal is to read 100,000 minutes collectively. Everyone under the age of 18 who reads 1,200 minutes gets a prize. There will also be random prize drawings for all participants and a prize for the person who reads the most in their age group.
Just think of the possibilities!
